Kanji Review

A simple app to help you learn Kanji Characters.

Using the Application

This application consists of 7 pages. A help page (this one), a page which lists the Radicals along with their definitions and 5 review pages where you can interact with the main application for learning Kanji and the Radicals. The first review page is for leaning the Radicals. The other 4 review pages are based on different Kanji lists which all overlap to some extent. The different lists are provided for reference and to make leaning a bit more interesting! You can plan your lessons by setting the range of Kanjis displayed. For instance 1-79 (LPT Level N5) or 613-979 (LPT Level N4).

Review Mode and Timer

You can put the app in review mode and test what you have learnt by viewing flash cards. Also, when interacting with the review pages the next Kanji can be displayed either manually or by starting the timer. The timer drop down menu initially displays "timer idle". You can start the timer by selecting one of the "start n" options. The numbers are in seconds! The timer can be halted by pressing the "stop" button. While the timer is running you can alter the delay or turn "Review Mode" on/off.

The 5 Review Pages

Each of the review pages is based on a different Kanji list, all of them compiled for educational purposes. The original list supplied with this application is no longer included because it was incomplete. This list has been replaced by the Heisig Kanji index.

1) Radicals Review

This page helps you learn the 214 Kanji Radicals. The number of stokes is also displayed next to the index.

2) Common Kanji

This page is intended for learning the most commonly occurring 2500 Kanji found in newspapers.

3) Heisig Kanji Index

This is a list of Kanji based on the Heisig index. Kanji whose Radicals appear in many other characters are shown earlier in the list which many would argue facilitates learning and is more effective than just learning the most common Kanji.

4) Jōyō Kanji

The Jōyō Kanji list was released by the Japanese Ministry of Education. The list used by this app contains 2,136 characters and was released in 2010. The Kanji Review page for Jōyō Kanji also displays the associated radical for each character next to its index.

5) JLPT Kanji List

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or JLPT, is a series of proficiency tests for non-native speakers. The JLPT has five levels. Level N5 is the most basic and Level N1 the most difficult. The number of Kanji occurring at each level and their indexes in the list used by this app are shown below.

Una aplicación sencilla para ayudarle a aprender caracteres kanji.

Uso de la aplicación

Esta aplicación consta de 7 páginas. Una página de ayuda (este), una página que enumera los radicales junto con sus definiciones y 5 páginas de revisión donde se puede interactuar con el principal de la aplicación para el aprendizaje de kanji y los radicales. La primera página de revisión es para inclinarse a los radicales. Las otras páginas 4 revisión se basan en diferentes listas kanji que todo se solapan en cierta medida. Las diferentes listas se proporcionan como referencia y hacer que se inclina un poco más interesante! Usted puede planificar sus lecciones mediante el establecimiento de la gama de kanjis muestra. Por ejemplo 1-79 (LPT Nivel N5) o 613-979 (LPT Nivel N4).

Modo de revisión y el temporizador

Usted puede poner la aplicación en modo de revisión y probar lo que has aprendido viendo tarjetas de memoria flash. También, al interactuar con las páginas de revisión la siguiente Kanji se puede mostrar de forma manual o poniendo en marcha el temporizador. La caída temporizador menú desplegable muestra inicialmente "inactivo temporizador". Puede iniciar el temporizador seleccionando una de las "start n" opciones. Los números están en segundos! El temporizador se puede detener pulsando el botón "stop". Mientras que el temporizador está en marcha, puede cambiar el retraso o convertir "Modo de revisión" on / off.

Los 5 Revisión Páginas

Cada una de las páginas de revisión se basa en una lista de kanji diferente, todos ellos compilados con fines educativos. La lista original suministrado con esta aplicación ya no se incluye porque era incompleta. Esta lista ha sido sustituido por el índice Heisig Kanji.

1) Los radicales Comentario

Esta página le ayuda a aprender los 214 radicales kanji. El número de Stokes también se muestra al lado del índice.

2) Kanji Común

Esta página está dirigida para el aprendizaje de los más comúnmente se producen 2.500 kanji encontrado en los periódicos.

3) Heisig Índice Kanji

Esta es una lista de kanji basado en el índice de Heisig. Kanji cuyos radicales aparecer en muchos otros personajes se muestran antes en la lista que muchos podrían argumentar facilita el aprendizaje y es más eficaz que simplemente aprender los kanji más común.

4) jōyō kanji

La lista jōyō kanji fue lanzado por el Ministerio de Educación japonés. La lista que utiliza esta aplicación contiene 2.136 caracteres y fue lanzado en 2010. La página del kanji de las revisiones jōyō kanji también muestra el radical asociada para cada personaje al lado de su índice.

5) Lista JLPT Kanji

El examen de dominio del idioma japonés, o JLPT, es una serie de pruebas de aptitud para los hablantes no nativos. El JLPT tiene cinco niveles. Nivel N5 es la N1 más básico y nivel el más difícil. El número de kanji que ocurre en cada nivel y sus índices en la lista utilizada por esta aplicación se muestran abajo.
